Third eye chakra (Ajna)

The sixth chakra dwells behind the forehead. It is the seat of wisdom—knowledge beyond intelligence—that allows us to integrate our higher being with the everyday world. Philosophers called it "the seat of the soul." In physical terms this chakra is the pineal gland, which is activated by light coming through the eyes. It is associated with the brain, face, physical senses. To invite its energy, meditate with a mala that contains lapis lazuli or silver beads. You may want to invoke the spirit of Athena or Sarasvati, respectively Greek and Hindu goddesses of wisdom, or the the elephant-trunked Ganesh, the Hindu god of spiritual insight.
